Pre-Launch Update One: Installing WordPress

As some of you know I’ve been without a blog/portfolio website for several months now. This is–basically–because of an issue involving my GoDaddy webhosting. I had decided to let my hosting expire (because GoDaddy sucks) and that was going to be that. The problem came when I couldn’t retrieve any of my files from the server. Before the cutoff date I attempted to pull down all of my themes, plugins, uploads, and other files from GoDaddy, but with no luck whatsoever. I was getting download speeds so low single files took hours.

So yeah, all my stuff gone. Yay :/

Finally I’m back! I’m currently running my own VPS server and finally figured out how to get everything installed to get wordpress up and running. Had this server been a familiar Debian environment it would have taken no time at all, but CentOS has some subtle differences that took me a while to figure out.

Now that I have a working WordPress again it shouldn’t be long before I hammer out a design and get this site running again.
